The Settings Page in Lucid Poker
A complete walkthrough of every option in the Lucid Poker Settings panel, from profile and subscription to game settings, drill controls, and display preferences.
What the Settings Page Controls
The Settings page is organized into four main groups: Profile, Subscription, Game Settings, and Customization. Each group controls a distinct aspect of how Lucid Poker looks and behaves for you.
You can reach Settings from the main navigation at any time. Changes take effect immediately.
Profile
The profile section sits at the top of Settings. Here you can:
- Change your avatar. There are many options to choose from, with more being added over time.
- Update your username. This is the name that appears on the leaderboard and throughout the app wherever your name is shown.
- Sign out of your account. Use this if you need to switch to a different email or log in on a new device.
Subscription
This section shows the current status of your subscription: either Active (Pro) or Free. If you need help with billing, upgrades, or account issues, contact the team at support@lucidpoker.com.
Game Settings
Game Settings control how your drills work and how information is displayed during practice. These are the most impactful options for your study sessions.
Bet Size Display
Choose how bet sizes appear throughout the app: as big blinds or as a percent of pot. This affects both the Solver Library and the betting buttons during drills. Use whichever format matches how you think at the table.
RNG Mode
RNG stands for random number generator. Top players use an RNG to randomize certain decisions at the correct frequency, which is a core part of playing an unexploitable strategy.
When you arrive at a mixed-frequency spot in a drill, Lucid shows you a random number between 0 and 100. You use that number to decide which action to take.
Scenario: You hold T7 suited in the big blind facing a cutoff open. The solver says to 3-bet this hand 15% of the time and call the rest. Your RNG shows 97. With High = Aggressive selected, you 3-bet because 97 is above your 85 threshold. If the number had been 70, you would call.
The RNG mode setting lets you choose the direction:
- High = Aggressive: Make the aggressive play when your RNG number is high.
- Low = Aggressive: Make the aggressive play when your RNG number is low.
Not sure which direction to use? Either works. Pick one and stay consistent. If you want more guidance, ask in the Lucid Discord at discord.gg/lucid-poker.
Clicking Bet Size Submits Bet
When you have multiple sizing options in a drill (for example, a 50% raise and a 100% raise), this controls what happens when you click a size:
- On: Clicking the size immediately submits your action.
- Off: Clicking the size selects it. You confirm with a separate button. This lets you switch between sizes before committing.
Pause After Each Hand
When enabled, Lucid pauses after every hand and shows your EV loss before moving on. This gives you time to study the result in detail.
If you prefer a faster, more game-like session, leave this off. Lucid will move directly to the next hand.
Display Warning
Sets the EV loss threshold (in big blinds) that triggers a pop-up alert. When you make a mistake larger than this value, Lucid stops and flags it.
The default is 0.1 big blinds. Raise it to 0.2 if you only want warnings on major mistakes. Lower it to 0.05 for more granular feedback. Most players find 0.1 to be the right balance.
Drill Pace
Controls how quickly hands progress during a session:
- Relaxed: Slowest pace. More time between hands.
- Brisk: Middle ground.
- Rapid: Fastest pace. Maximum reps per session.
Reveal Villain's Cards
When enabled, you see your opponent's hand at the end of each drill hand. This helps you understand what the solver is doing from both sides of the table.
Turn this off if you want to move through hands faster and only care about your own decisions.

Show Geometric Bet Size
Geometric bet sizing means using one consistent bet size as a percentage of pot on each remaining street so the final bet goes all-in. For example: bet 80% on the flop, 80% on the turn, and all-in on the river.
When this setting is on, the geometric bet size appears in the top right corner of every node in the Solver Library. It tells you what size to use on the current street to reach all-in by the river with consistent sizing throughout.
A flop node shows a geometric size of 79% pot. Betting 79% on the flop, 79% on the turn, and going all-in on the river produces a perfectly geometric three-street sizing.
Customization
Color Theme
Choose a color theme for the Lucid interface. This is a visual preference only and has no effect on drill behavior or scoring.
Animations
When on, cards are dealt with visual effects similar to a live table. When off, hands resolve instantly.
Turn animations off if you want the highest possible number of reps per session.
App Version
The current version of Lucid Poker is shown at the very bottom of the Settings page. If you contact support or want to confirm you're running the latest build, check here first.
